‘Russia’s 9/11’: Ukrainian drone hits high-rise building in Saratov
A video of a drone attack in Russia has taken the internet by storm shocking many and reminding other people of the September 11 attacks in the United States.
A suicide Ukrainian drone struck a high-rise residential building in Saratov, Russia as fighting intensified between the two countries, especially after Ukraine’s penetration in Kursk.
The Volga Sky, which is Saratov city’s tallest building, was struck by a Ukrainian drone.
According to Russian sources, houses were damaged due to the Ukrainian drone attack on Monday. The attack left a woman injured.
In addition, the regional governor of Saratov, Roman Basurgin said on Telegram that a residential building was damaged by falling debris from drones destroyed by Russia’s air defence systems.
“A woman was hospitalised in serious condition and doctors are fighting for her life,” Basurgin added via Telegram.
Many people on social media reposted the video and said that the video which captures the moment when a drone hit a high-rise residential building, reminded them of the September 11 attacks, commonly known as 9/11, were four coordinated Islamist terrorist suicide attacks carried out by al-Qaeda against the US in 2001.
