Russian jets renew airstrikes on Islamic State hideouts in Deir Ezzor desert
Three Russian fighter jets have consecutively struck ISIS hideouts in al-Shawla desert west of Deir Ezzor since the early hours of Monday morning. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
These airstrikes come in light of the dramatic escalation in ISIS activity across the Syrian desert, as well as combing operations by the regime and national defense forces in Deir Ezzor desert in search of ISIS cells.
Yesterday, SOHR activists monitored that Russian fighter jets renewed their aerial bombardment in Deir Ezzor desert, as Russian fighter jets executed intensive airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in the southwestern Deir Ezzor.
