Russian FSB forces prevented terrorist attack in Krasnodar
The Federal Security Bureau (FSB) said that it had aborted a terrorist attack in the Russian town of Krasnodar, where a young man who carried a homemade bomb in his car was detained, local television reported on Friday.
The agents also found the 27-year-old Russian detainee’s cell phone, and evidence of his communications with the Islamic State terrorist movement, which is banned in this country.
Even amid the global tragedy caused by the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus, which has caused the Covid-19 pandemic, the FSB is in maximum alert.
Last Monday, Russian security announced the elimination of three extremists who were about to carried out attacks in the North Caucasian republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAK) reported.
In the operation, the security forces raided a house where one of those involved was supposed to be hiding and found two homemade bombs and materials to make more explosive devices, the NAK said in a communiqué.
