Roadside bomb in the provincial capital in Logar province claimed lives of three Afghan soldiers
At least three Security force members were killed in a IED blast in the provincial capital in Logar province.
Gohaidar Ahmadi, spokesman for Logar police HQ said Saturday, that three Afghan national Army members were killed in an IED blast in the Pul-e-Alam, the capital of Logar province.
The explosion targeted ANA forces in the region.
Ahmadi blamed the Taliban for placing a roadside bomb in the Konjak area of logar province.
In another security incident in Ghazni, four civilians were killed when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb on Saturday morning.
Moreover, the Parwan police chief confirmed that unidentified armed men gunned down an anti-narcotics police officer, while he was on his way to work.
The anti-narcotics officer was murdered in Kapisa province on Saturday morning.
The murdered individual worked as a deputy admin for the anti-narcotics department of the Parwan police headquarters.
This comes as insecurity and targeted killings intensified across Afghanistan, and from the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the Afghan government, civil society activists, public and human rights defenders established urged the Taliban to reduce their hostilities, violence and establish a ceasefire for honoring the month of Ramadan.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
