ISIS’s religious leader killed in Lebanese Army operation near border with Syria
The army soldiers carried out an anti-terrorism operation in the border town of Arsal, killing the Religious Emir of the ISIL Ala’a al-Halabi, nom de guerre al-Malis, and arresting ten more dangerous terrorists.
Al-Halabi was originally from the Syrian settlement of Qareh.
Al-Halabi was the man who issued the verdict that allowed and insisted on the execution of the Lebanese military men.
In November, the Lebanese army soldiers captured the top emir of the ISIL terrorist group in the country near the Syrian border.
Ahmad Yousef Amoun was arrested in a special operation carried out by the Lebanese army men in the large town of Arsal.
Amoun was arrested in al-Arnab Valley of Arsal, where he opened fire on the Lebanese soldiers.
In addition to Amoun, the army soldiers apprehended ten of his militant comrades who had played a major role in ISIL’s offensives in Qalamoun Mountain of Syria and Lebanon.
