Four female ISIS recruits detained in Jawzjan swoop
Four female recruits of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Khurasan (ISISK) have been detained in a recent military swoop of the national defense and security forces in northern Jawzjan, as Daesh is relenting in the north with a multitude of its combatants surrendering to local government forces amid fighting with the Taliban.
The Security Director of Jawzjan Security Commandment Abdul Hafiz Khashiconfirmed that four female ISIS Khurasan members have been arrested in Darzab district.
Khashi further added that the suspects were arrested from Darzab district as they were attempting to flee to Shebarghan city.
He also added that the women are originally hailing from Baghlan, Kunduz, and Samangan provinces of Afghanistan and are currently in the custody of the security forces.
According to Khashi, the detained women have confessed during the preliminary investigations that they were members of the ISIS Khurasan group.
The anti-government armed militant groups including ISIS Khurasan loyalists have not commented in this regard so far.
