Qalibaf: Daesh looking for insecurity in Afghanistan’s neighboring countries
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf deemed the root of the terrorist act in Kerman to be the activities of the ISIS (Daesh) terrorist group in Afghanistan, seeking to create insecurity in Afghanistan’s neighboring countries.
Qalibaf made the remarks in a meeting with Chairman of the National Assembly of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali in Tehran on Monday.
Pointing to the importance of communication between the parliaments of the Asian countries at the international level, Qalibaf said that mutual cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan in each of the decision-making centers is important for influencing foreign policy issues, developing economic and cultural relations, which requires strong communication between the two parliaments, friendship groups and also the formation of a joint commission in order to establish the necessary coordination between the parliaments.
Stating that the two nations of Iran and Tajikistan have historical roots, Qalibaf said that therefore, the development of trade with the priority of the private sector and bilateral relations between governments and companies should be developed.
“Of course, it requires the strengthening of the visa issue and land and air transportation facilities,” he added.
Pointing out that the development of trade relations is one of the requirements for the development of relations between the two countries, Qalibaf said, “We need mutual investments, especially in the field of road and rail transit, with the countries that are on this path, so that we can facilitate economic development by facilitating trade relations.”
