World Cup 2018 terror threat: ISIS is plotting attack on England’s opener stadium
There are genuine fears the Islamic militants will try to make a political statement at the England game.
The Three Lions will travel to the city of Volgograd for their first game of next year’s tournament.
But there are fears that Islamic terrorists will see the match as the “perfect opportunity” to strike.
ISIS has already issued a warning by issuing an image of the stadium in Volgograd, suggesting an attack.
Father of one Nickolai Bilov told The Mirror: “There are genuine fears the Islamic militants will try to make a political statement at the England game.
“Since the suicide attacks we have had very strict security measures, including all bags going through metal detectors at the train station.
“The city was shocked by the attacks and we don’t want it happening again.”
