Perpetrators of terrorist attack on Ganja ex-head identified

The persons involved in the terrorist attack on the ex-head of the Ganja Executive Power, and those who supported the terrorist attack, have been identified, Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov said Sept. 28.

According to him, 77 persons have been brought to criminal responsibility until Sept. 28.

“They were arrested by court decisions, and 11 are wanted. Two of those wanted have been detained and brought to the country. Whereabouts of some other criminals have been established, and measures are being taken to extradite them. Organizers and instigators of the attack are known. No one will get away from the responsibility.” Garalov added.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan reported that as a result of urgent investigative actions and searches carried out by an investigative group of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service on the Ganja events, 61 people were charged, arrest was chosen as a preventive measure, special services eliminated four people who put up armed resistance, 13 people were put into the wanted list.

Weapons, pistols, ammunition, grenades were seized during the operations in Ganja.
