Palestinian dies while fighting for ISIS in Sinai
A Palestinian from Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip was killed while fighting for the so-called Islamic State in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.
The al-Attar family said Saturday that their son Subhi al-Attar was killed in Sinai on Thursday, without providing further details on the incident.
Fighting between Egyptian forces and local Islamic State affiliate the Sinai Province has escalated since Egyptian President Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi took power from Muhammad Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2013.
A number of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip have reportedly died while fighting with ISIS in Libya, Syria, and Iraq as well.
