Pakistani top Lashker-e-Taiba terror commander killed in encounter in Srinagar
Two dreaded terrorists including a wanted Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Salim Parray were killed in two encounters with security forces in Harwan area on the outskirts of the city on Monday, police said.
“Today afternoon we got input of the presence of top LeT commander Salim Parray and a foreign terrorist in Shalimar, Srinagar. Parray was neutralized in the encounter but the foreign terrorist (FT) ran away. We followed him and FT was neutralized in another encounter,” said IGP Kashmir.
“Second terrorist killed in Srinagar Encounter identified as Hafiz @ Hamza of Pakistan. He was involved in killing of 2 policemen in Bandipora and after this terror incident, he shifted to Harwan area of Srinagar,” IGP Kashmir stated.
Another encounter broke out between the ultras and security forces at nearby Gasu village, police officials said.
