Over 200 Islamic State affiliated Iraqis repatriated

The office of Joint Operations Command said on Tuesday (June 21) that 206 Iraqis affiliated with Islamic State (ISIS) have been handed over to the Iraqi government by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The office said most of the detainees are under the age of 18 and were arrested by the SDF in Syria.

Joint Operations Command stated the SDF handed over 50 ISIS affiliated detainees to the Iraqi forces at Rabia border crossing between Syria and Iraq.

The detainees will be taken to camps and remain for psychological sessions to be able to return and integrate into the community.
