Joint Operations Force arrests the most dangerous ISIS leader in Libya
The Misurata Joint Operations Force arrested Mubarak Al-Khazmi, the most dangerous leader of the terrorist organization “ISIS” in Libya, at dawn on Tuesday, in a raid inside the city of Bani Walid.
The joint force stated, in a statement, that the arrest of Al-Khazmi was carried out in coordination with the Public Prosecution Office, indicating that he was the first hospitality official with ISIS, according to previous investigations with terrorist elements, during “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous” operation.
In turn, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, praised the efforts of the Joint Operations Force, in the process of arresting Al-Khazmi, describing it as “the great success of the security forces in combating terrorism.”
Al-Khazmi faces serious terrorist charges related to the smuggling of ISIS terrorist elements within various Libyan cities, and their reception in what is known as “Madafat (Guest Houses).” He is also responsible for the bombing of the coast guard camp in Zliten in January 2016.
