Nigerian troops killed over ten terrorists and seized three gun trucks in Borno

The Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), Maj-Gen. Christopher Musa, has said that over a dozen Boko Haram terrorists were killed in the Lawan Minari axis, Konduga Local Council along Maiduguri/Damaturu road in Borno State.

Three gun trucks were also seized, after the terrorists torched two trucks and a petrol tanker in the village.

Musa disclosed in Maiduguri, yesterday, that the terrorists moved from the Sambisa Forest to cross the road into Sasawa Forest in Yobe State.

According to him, troops of 29 Brigade of OPHK neutralised over a dozen terrorists and seized three gun trucks.

“The ground troops pursued them along the bush tracks, while the Tucano fighter jet was engaged to demobilise the trucks, before killing some of the terrorists,” he said.

He added that some of the terrorists escaped with gunshot wounds towards the forest in Yobe.

The Guardian learnt that the terrorists had earlier ambushed motorists and commuters along the road.
