Nigerian Army Says It Rescued Another Chibok Girl Abducted By Boko Haram In 2014

The Nigerian Army on Monday said troops of Operation Hadin Kai Theater Command rescued another Chibok school girl abducted by Boko Haram in 2014.
The abductee was identified as Mary Nkeki, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
This was revealed by the Theater Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, Maj. Gen. Gold Chibuisi, who noted that Mary was rescued on August 14 along with her ‘repentant’ insurgent husband identified as Adam, by troops of the 81 Task Force Battalion at Dikwa during an operation into the terrorists’ enclave.
Chibuisi, who handed her over to the Borno State Government officials after addressing the press, said Mary’s serial number is 55 on the official list of abducted Chibok girls.
Mary, who belongs to the Kibaku tribe, is now 27 years old.
He said, “She is on serial number 55 of the abducted Chibok girl list. Now 27 years old. Kibaku by the tribe.
“While in captivity, she was forcefully married to one Adam, a Boko Haram terrorist,
“Since her rescue, she has undergone thorough medical examination in our medical facility. Equally, she has been adequately resuscitated and will be handed over to Borno state,”
However, Mary while speaking with journalists shortly after she was handed over to the Borno State Ministry for Women Affairs officials said she had two female children with Adam, who are both dead.
She explained that she and Adam fled the terrorists enclave at the Dikwa axis, and reached a point where the troops rescued both of them.
Adam has been taken to the camp for ‘repentant’ terrorists.
