The Islamic State continues its escalating activities in the Syrian desert, targeting the positions of regime forces and loyal militias, as part of its strong resurgence in Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored a new surprise attack by ISIS members targeting regime forces’ positions near Al-Taym oil field, about 13 km south of Deir ez-Zor, where fierce clashes took place between the two sides during the last hours, accompanied by exchange of fire, amid confirmed reports of casualties on both sides.
