Between 2012 and 2013, he also provided funds to individuals traveling to join al-Nusrah Front in Syria.
As of 2013, al-Mutayri worked with al-Nusrah Front facilitators to collect and deliver funds to the organization.
As of 2015, al-Mutayri was an al-Nusrah Front supporter in Kuwait who was collecting money for the group from other Gulf-based facilitators.
