Moroccan authorities dismantled suspected Islamic State terrorist cell
Morocco’s security forces dismantled Tuesday a suspected terrorist cell loyal to the Islamic State group in the region of Marrakech.
The FBI-Like Central Bureau for Judiciary Investigations (BCIJ) said it arrested four suspected experts in the Sidi Zouin area, on the outskirts of Marrakech.
Since its inception, BCIJ has foiled dozens of terrorist attacks targeting Morocco.
Morocco was a victim of terror attacks in Casablanca in 2003 and Marrakech in 2011, which killed a total of 50 people and injured dozens.
