More than 500 Islamic State bombs and IEDs discovered in Kirkuk
Iraqi federal police announced on Thursday that they have discovered a depot where the Islamic State (IS) jihadists had hid hundreds of bombs and other improvised explosive devices (IED) in Kirkuk.
According to a statement by the Federal Police, the depot was found during a search operation in Sada village of Kirkuk.
There were a total of 518 bombs and IDS of different types and sizes, the statement said.
A specialize engineering team later defused and collected the explosives to be destroyed later.
