At least 11 people are missing in Kerala and the police is investigating ISIS link
Eleven people, including six children, from Kerala, have gone missing from Dubai. As per reports, their family members fear that they may have joined the Islamic State.
The 11 people were on their way to the UAE but lost contact after June 15. The families belong to the Kasargod area of Kerala.
Reports say that a missing person report was filed by one of the family members’ father and investigations are currently underway.
A relative reportedly received a message from one of the members in Dubai a few days back saying that he has joined a religious school in Yemen and will be back after completing the course. The reports have not been confirmed by the police.
Relatives in Kerala said that the member ran a mobile repair and perfume shop in Dubai, and his family had left for Dubai last month to meet him. There has been no contact with them since June 15, they added.
Two years ago, a group of people went missing from Kasargod district and were suspected to join the ISIS.
