Peshmerga and Iraqi Interior Ministries agree to cooperatively foil ISIS infiltrations
Kurdistan Region Peshmerga and Iraqi Defense Ministries have agreed on cooperatively foiling the Islamic State (IS) insurgents from infiltrating on the border areas.
According to a statement by the Iraqi ministry, the Kurdish and Iraqi officials met on Wednesday in Baghdad which was ordered by PM Adil Abdul-Mahdi, who also serves as the commander- in-chief of the armed forces, and Army Chief of Staff Othman Ghanmi.
During the meeting, the officials shed light on the outcome of a previous meeting between Ghanmi and the Kurdish delegates.
The statement added that the two ministries agreed on more collaborations to ensure that the militants will not be able to sneak from one area to another.
