4 ISIS militants killed in clashes in Syria’s Daraa
Four militants of Islamic State Organization (ISIS) were killed on Monday while a local gunmen and a lady were wonded during “violent” clashes in the neighborhood of al-Sadd in the city of Daraa, south Syria.
A local source told North Press that the clashes, which have been ongoing since yesterday, broke out in the neighborhood of al-Sadd in the city of Daraa.
These clashes resulted in the wounding of a lady called Khetam Abazid who was moderately wounded and consequently hospitalized to Daraa National Hospital to receive treatment.
The source added that the local gunmen, supported by the Russian-backed Fifth Corps, advanced in the area of al-Rubai in the neighborhood of al-Sadd and took control over houses which ISIS militants were hiding in.
The clashes also resulted in the killing of one fighter called “Muhammed al-Hussein of the local gunmen who are pursuing militants accused of joining ISIS.”
Fout ISIS militants were killed in the neighborhood, according to the same source.
One of the local gunmen fighters found weapons and ammunition in one of the houses which ISIS militants were staying in.
The source pointed out that ISIS militants used the strategy of planting IEDs and mimes all over the streets of the area.
The campaign came after a suicide bombing attack against the former leader of the Syrian opposition, Ghasan Akram al-Abazid. The blast killed four people and wounded five others.
