ISIS using ‘messenger app’ to communicate in Pakistan without detection
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists in Pakistan have been using the Telegram messenger app to communicate without detection and, so far, have been more than successful.
According to The Express Tribune, a police official has said the Telegram application had proved beneficial to communicate and the most important feature of the app message is that it is ‘self-destructible’.
“Once a voice message is sent via Telegram app it is deleted automatically from the phone so you have no back-up and that is why it is currently impossible for the police and intelligence agencies to intercept it,” he said.
The official said that the police and the security forces lack the technology to intercept this app.
