NDS arrests 10 ISIS members for planning terrorist attacks in Kabul
Afghanistan National Directorate of Security (NDS) arrested a group of 10 members of the loyalists of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) or Daesh terrorist group involved in planning terrorist attacks in Kabul.
NDS in a statement said that the recent terrorist attacks on Karte Sakhi mosque was organized by this group and the plans of carrying out deadly attacks on Ariana TV network, Shamshad and Tolo TV networks.
According to the statement, the group was also responsible for recruitment of new members for Daesh group.
The group was activating to create discord among Shia and Sunni sects in Kabul and for the purpose of targeting famous and influential Shiite mosques in different parts of Kabul.
The statement further added that NDS operatives would not hesitate any efforts to arrest, identify and prevent terrorist activities in all parts of the country.
At least 18 people have been killed and 50 others injured after terrorists in Afghan security forces uniforms stormed a Karte Sakhi, Shi’ite mosque during a religious ceremony and opened fire on mourners in Kabul.
