Man who offered bail cash for Lisa Smith put up surety in earlier terror case
A GAA fan who was rejected as an independent surety for Lisa Smith over the assault of the 2010 Leinster Football Final referee previously put forward bail money for another terror suspect.
Alleged Islamis State member Ms Smith (38) spent Christmas in jail after Dublin District Court rejected the individual who offered to act as her independent surety.
The court heard Paul Grimes, a friend of the Smith family, had offered to put forward the €5,000 needed to satisfy Ms Smith’s bail terms.
