Man from London arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences
A man arrested yesterday, Monday, 18 August, on suspicion of a terrorism offence, has been bailed to return to a central-London police station in mid-September.
At approximately 04.00hrs yesterday, officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command arrested a 25-year-old man from north London on suspicion of possession of material likely to be useful to a terrorist, contrary to section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
They arrested him at Gatwick Airport, after he arrived on a flight from Turkey, and took him into custody at a central-London police station.
Officers have completed their search of an address in north London.
