Man from East London detained for suspected terrorism acts
A 32-year-old man from east London has been arrested on suspicion of Terrorism Act Offences.
Detectives from the Met Police Counter Terrorism Command arrested the suspect at approximately 6am today (Thursday, October 3).
The man is believed to have been collecting of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism under Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
He was detained under PACE and was taken into custody to a south London police station where he currently remains.
Police are searching an address in east London.
