ISIS linked terror suspects arrested in Turkey
A total of 22 Daesh-linked terror suspects were arrested in northwestern Turkey, said the governorship on Tuesday.
Twenty-two suspects were arrested in simultaneous operations in nine districts of Istanbul and Kocaeli provinces.
According to the Istanbul Governorship, they were holding meetings to propagate their ideas and recruit members to fight in Syria.
Security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to rid Turkey of Daesh terrorists.
More than 300 people have lost their lives in Daesh-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror group has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket, and gun attacks.
A total of 408 Daesh suspects were remanded in custody while some 3,000 others were arrested for their alleged links to the terror group across Turkey in 2018.
