Lebanon’s General Security arrested three Islamic State terrorists planning terror attacks
A Lebanese Army Intelligence patrol on Thursday raided the residence of J.H. in the town of Arsal and arrested him along with a number of people over heading a group affiliated to ISIS and participating in battles against the Lebanese army in Arsal.
The arrestee is wanted over several arrest warrants for various crimes, including communication with terrorists, shooting citizens, trading weapons, and stealing cars, a communique issued by the Lebanese Army Command’s Orientation Directorate said.
A tunnel was found that extends from inside to outside the residence of the convict, in which weapons, ammunition, and explosives were stored.
The detainees have been handed over to the competent authorities, and an investigation is underway.
