Lebanese police forces detained four Syrian nationals over connections with the Islamic State
On Tuesday, Lebanon’s state security managed to detain as many as four Syrian nationals for being members of Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization, the National News Agency reported.
The detained terrorists confessed their involving in the 2014 Islamic State attack against a military centers in Arsal, nearly 124 km northeast of the capital Beirut, and to confiscating arms of the Lebanese army and selling them.
The detained suspects were referred to judicial institutions for more probes and lawful measures.
It is worth mentioning that in the past few months, Lebanon has managed to detain a group of terrorist suspects behind attacks in the nation.
