Large Taliban weapons depot discovered and destroyed in Helmand by the Afghan forces

The security forces says they had discovered and destroyed a large Taliban weapons depot in Helmand.

The depot of Taliban was kept in a hideout of Taliban in outskirts of Nahr-e-Saraj district bazaar.

According to reports, Taliban from the hideout reportedly fled before national security forces arrived.

A national security source in Helmand told BNA that mortar and missile depots contained thousands of small arms and light weapons were seized from the depot and then was destroyed.

He said the Taliban used these weapons to carry out attacks in parts of Helmand.
