Two Israeli Arabs, Palestinian suspected of being ISIS sympathizers
Two 17-year-old Israeli Arabs and a Palestinian from Barta’a, which sits on the Green Line, have been arrested by the Shin Bet on suspicion they built a makeshift explosive and that they are sympathizers of the Islamic State group (ISIS), it was cleared for publication on Monday.
In his questioning, one of the suspects allegedly admitted to speaking to ISIS agents about the possibility of joining the organization’s ranks.
According to the Shin Bet, the three participated in religious lessons, during which they were exposed to extremist content relating to ISIS. They also watched online videos about ISIS and discussed how life would be like under the terror organization’s rule. The suspects also swore allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
