Israeli forces to demolish home of Palestinian terrorist involved in Homesh shooting
The IDF has informed the family of one of the Palestinian terrorists who murdered Yehuda Dimentman near the Homesh outpost in December of their intention to raze the terrorist’s home.
The home of Muhammad Jaradat, one of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad members involved in the West Bank shooting attack, is set to be demolished by the IDF.
The IDF added that the family is given the opportunity to file an objection to the demolition.
Another terrorist involved in the Homesh shooting, Mahmoud Jaradat, will have his home demolished by the IDF after the Israeli military announced its intention to do so last week.
The IDF believes that while there is no exact science to stopping terrorist attacks, home demolitions have led to attacks being thwarted and less motivation to carry them out.
The terrorists, who initially managed to escape the scene of the shooting, were later caught and arrested by IDF forces.
Dimentman, 25-years-old, was killed as the Palestinian gunmen sprayed his car with bullets near Homesh outpost in the West Bank.
A resident of the Shavei Shomron settlement and student at the Homesh Yeshiva, the murder of Dimentman triggered wide protests to save the Homesh yeshiva, which is scheduled to be demolished.
On Sunday, settlers held a protest with hundreds of activists outside the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem, threatening to bring down the government if the yeshiva is demolished.
