Israeli fighter jets strike southern Lebanon
The Israeli Air Force has said it carried out “two waves of attacks” in the village of Merkaba in southern Lebanon.
In a post on X, the air force said its fighter jets attacked “terrorist infrastructures, a military structure, observation posts and launching positions of the terrorist organization Hezbollah”.
“In addition, air force aircraft, combined with tank fire, attacked several areas in southern Lebanon.
“Among the targets that were attacked, an operational headquarters and a military structure of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah.”
The statement from the air force comes after reporting that two Hezbollah fighters were killed after an Israeli drone hit their vehicle in southern Lebanon.
