Islamic State terrorists killed and wounded three Iraqi policemen
At least three Iraqi policemen were either killed or wounded as a result of an attack by the Islamic State (IS) in Diyala province overnight on Friday.
Nihad Mohammed, a spokesperson for Diyala Police, confirmed the report to BasNews and said that the incident occurred in Baqubah city, central Diyala province, where the insurgents raided a checkpoint of the federal police.
According to the spokesperson, the jihadists opened fire at the checkpoint and killed one policeman, while two others were injured.
The police forces responded to the attack, however the extremists escaped the scene immediately, Mohammed concluded.
