Islamic State terrorists ready to attack Israel and Jews near Sinai and Syria
In December 2018, the ISIS caliphate was defeated in December 2018, but to date, the Islamists are still operational in areas of Sinai, Syria, and Iraq. And now the head of ISIS has called on militants and has directed them to start conquering Israeli settlements and targeting Jews.
ISIS spokesman and second Caliph Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Quraishi has sent a recording to the organization’s remaining militants via the Israeli public broadcasting corporation to wage a campaign of terror against Israel and Jews in Sinai and Syria. He directed them to begin conquering Israeli “settlements,” i.e., the West Bank settlements and Israeli cities. Since the death of ISIS’s leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, in October, this is the second time the terrorist group has sent a recorded message.
In his message, Al-Quraishi said the organization combatants, especially those in Sinai and Syria, should conquer the Israeli settlements in the West Bank and turn it into fields for arms experiments. He commanded that Muslims across the world should unite and sabotage US President Donald Trump’s the Middle East “peace plan” as “the Muslims who live in Palestine… will be at the forefront of the fight against the Jews [and] foiling the “Deal of the Century.””
He further added that while the US and other countries expected the terrorist organization to end with the death of al-Baghdadi, “we are still here, and we are ready to start a ‘new stage’ – hitting Israeli targets.”
“Today we have begun a new phase in our struggle with you. Our eyes now look towards Jerusalem,” he said.
Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian West Bank are considered a “flagrant violation” of international law that has “no legal validity”, according to a United Nations Security Council resolution. But under the US President Donald Trump’s “peace plan”, the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced the US is considering to soften its position on the settlements, but till now, the details of the plan has been kept a secret. And while the Palestinian leaders have been consulted regarding the constitution of the plan, they are not in support of it.
