Islamic State terrorists killed two fishermen in Diyala
Two fishermen were shot dead by a group of Islamic State (IS) jihadists overnight on Tuesday, police has confirmed. The men were fishing at Hamrin Lake when the IS militants ambushed them after dusk, Nihad Mohammed, a spokesperson for Diyala Police told BasNews.
The victims are from the disputed Kurdish town of Jalawla, Mohammed added without further elaboration.
Police and security forces arrived at the scene to launch an investigation but the IS militants had already taken flight.
