Islamic State terrorists kill three villagers in south of Kirkuk
The jihadists of the Islamic State (IS) have killed three villagers in south of disputed Kurdish province of Kirkuk, Iraqi police said on Wednesday.
A police source explained in a statement that the insurgents killed a couple of civilians just hours after kidnapping them from the village of al-Hiwayat, southern Kirkuk, on Tuesday evening.
According to the source, the family members of the victims went to collect the bodies, but they were ambushed by the extremists.
The militants left another villager killed, the source added.
Although the Islamic State was declared as “fully” defeated in 2017, the jihadist group has so far continued to target the security forces and civilians in the majority of liberated areas.
