Islamic State terrorists fired rockets at central Daquq in south of Kirkuk
Islamic State (IS) militants overnight on Tuesday fired multiple Katyusha rockets at the center of Daquq district in south of Kirkuk. A local source confirmed to BasNews that at least three rockets had landed in central Daquq.
The source said no one was hurt and investigations were underway while the security forces keep the targeted area cordoned off.
IS jihadists frequently attack villages around Kirkuk in the disputed Kurdish areas. However, it is the first time in months the jihadists group targets the center of a town.
