Islamic State terrorists attacked village in Diyala province after cutting electricity
Islamic State (IS) jihadists attacked a village in Iraq’s Diyala province overnight on Monday, injuring at least two policemen.
A local official told BasNews that the jihadists targeted a power supply transmitter to cut electricity in the village before the attack.
There was no report of casualties among the attacking IS jihadists.
Meanwhile, Peshmerga forces near Kullajo district, south of Kirkuk, reported an IS attack the same night.
Bakhtiyar Hamasalih, commander of Peshmerga forces in the area, told BasNews that a small group of IS jihadists opened fire at the Peshmerga positions and escaped as soon as the Kurdish forces returned fire.
