Islamic State terrorists attack Iraqi Army Unit and kill one soldier

Islamic State (IS) militants attacked a unit of the Iraqi army overnight on Tuesday near Mandali, Diyala province, killing at least one Iraqi soldier.

According to local officials, two other troops suffered injuries as they attempted to repel the attack.

A PUK representative to Mandali district told BasNews that the army has increased presence in the area after the attack last night.

He said it was not clear if any IS jihadists were killed during the fight.
