Islamic State terrorist group claimed killing of Afghan female media workers
Islamic State (Daesh) has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack that killed three media workers in Jalalabad, in Nangarhar, on Tuesday evening.
Islamic State-Khorasan also known as Daesh has reportedly claimed the attack on three media workers in Jalalabad city of Nangarhar province.
Daesh group claimed its fighters targeted the three defenseless female workers of Enikass TV, SITE Intelligence Group reported.
The female workers were aged between 18 and 20 when the armed gunmen opened fire at them in two separate attacks.
Security officials indicate that the “cowardly” attack needs to be investigated and a team from Kabul to Nangarhar is sent for further clarifying which militant group was involved in the attack.
The Enikass TV workers were recent high school graduates who worked in the dubbing department.
Earlier on Tuesday night, Provincial police chief Juma Gul Hemat said that the suspected lead attacker was caught and that he was connected to the Taliban.
However, the Taliban denied their involvement in the attack on defenseless female workers of Enikass TV.
