Islamic State smuggler captured in Nineveh

An Islamic State (IS) smuggler was captured in the Iraqi province of Nineveh on Saturday, a security source said.

The suspect used to transfer IS insurgents from neighboring Syria to Iraq, the source explained, as cited by Iraqi News.

He was arrested by the Iraqi security forces after receiving accurate intelligence information on the militant, the source continued.

The IS smuggler was sent to the competent authorities for further investigations.

Most of the Islamic State members began to sneak into Iraq after losing their territories in Syria.
