Islamic State senior member captured in Baghdad
An Islamic State (IS) senior member was captured in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Tuesday, the Security Media Cell said in a statement.
Apart from the senior militant, who was the leader of Wilayat al-Falluja, another insurgent was also arrested by the Iraqi security forces in the Iraqi capital city, the statement explained.
The forces were guided by the IS leader to a hideout where certain containers of Ammonium Nitrates had been stored, as cited by Iraqi News.
Meanwhile, the pro-Iranian Hashd al-Shaabi militias managed to destroy a camp belonging to the jihadist group in the Iraqi province of Nineveh.
Explosive devices and weapons were kept at the camp, according to Alghad Press, clarifying that the site was found during an operation.
Military uniforms and medical supplies as well as electronic devices were also found at the camp.
