Islamic State mortar attack killed two people in Tuz Khurmatu
The jihadists of the Islamic State (IS) carried out a mortar attack on pro-Iranian Hashd al-Shaabi in the disputed Kurdish town of Tuz Khurmatu, leaving two militiamen killed.
Ali Husseini, a spokesperson for Hashd al-Shaabi, confirmed the report to BasNews and explained that the incident occurred in an area between Zarga village and Sadiq Airport in Tuz Khurmatu.
The attack resulted in the killing of two militiamen, Husseini said.
He pointed out that additional forces were deployed to the area but the extremists soon escaped the scene. However, he said they found two bodies of insurgents killed during the clashes.
