Islamic State landmine kills two children in eastern Homs
An ISIS homemade landmine has killed two children of the same family in central Homs province, regime-run news agency said.
SANA reported that the landmine is a remnant of Islamic State’s weapons in the eastern countryside of Homs.
According to the Human Rights Watch, ISIS had planted dozens of antipersonnel mines in eastern Syria. They include devices often-called booby traps or improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Most appeared to be victim-activated and therefore banned under international law.
