Islamic State issues tips on how terrorists can avoid getting coronavirus
ISIS has jumped into the coronavirus fray as it issued a list of recommendations to its jihadists about how to ward off the evil bug, according to a report.
The latest issue of the group’s news outlet al-Naba instructs the terrorists on the front lines to “stay away from sick people,” “wash your hands before eating” and to “avoid travel to the affected areas,” the Daily Mail reported.
A religious decree also tells them to “put your faith in God and seek refuge from him” – adding that “illnesses do not strike by themselves but by the command and decree of God.”
Despite losing most of its self-declared caliphate, the terror group is believed to still be present in several areas of Iraq and Syria.
In Iraq, eight people have died of the coronavirus and 79 people are said to have been infected, though the actual number of those sickened may be much higher. Syria, meanwhile, has not reported any cases of the illness, but it is possible that they have been undetected, according to the report.
