Islamic State executed civilian for cooperating with the Syrian Defence Forces

The Islamic State (IS) has executed one civilian for cooperating with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a monitor said on Monday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights cited reliable sources as saying that the “members of the Islamic State sleeper cells broke into the house of a civilian in Al-Hawaij village in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.”

According to the observatory, the militants took the civilian to the village’s desert, and then cut his head off with a sharp object.

“Then, they brought his body to the village center and they opened fired into the air, for dealing with SDF.”

The victim was reportedly working for the irrigation canal of the Deir ez-Zor civil council.
