Islamic Jihad leader calls Iran ‘strategic ally’

“Iran is our key ally and we are with anyone who fights the Israeli regime,” Nakhalah told Jordanian news network Alghad on Wednesday night.

Remarks by the Palestinian resistance leader come as tensions run high in the occupied territories amid escalating attacks by the Zionist regime forces in different parts of the West Bank.

The latest such attacks took place on Wednesday targeting the city of Nablus, north of occupied al-Quds.

Iran has time and again voiced its support for the Palestinian people in their struggle to free their land from the Israeli occupation.

In his interview with the Jordanian channel, Nakhalah said that the Palestinian people have realized that negotiations and cooperation with the occupiers are of no use and resistance should continue.

The Palestinian leader stressed that his movement seeks unity among different Palestinian groups.

He also hailed the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, for its support to the Palestinian people.

Al-Nakhalah said that Palestinians and Hezbollah will stand alongside each other if the Israeli regime enters into war, whether it is inside Palestine or outside it or with resistance groups.
