ISIS terrorists arrested in Albania for plotting attack on Israel national football team
Four suspected ISIS terrorists have been arrested in Albania for plotting to attack the Israel national team this weekend.
Israel’s World Cup Group G qualifier was scheduled to be played in Shkoder on Saturday but, for security reasons, the game has been moved by FIFA to a stadium closer to the Albanian capital Tirana.
The plot to attack the Israel squad was uncovered by Israel’s counter-terrorism bureau and they are advising Israel fans not to go to the game.
The Israel squad will fly to Albania with their own armed security guards.
Israeli players wanted the game to be played at a neutral venue but FIFA has confirmed it will be played in Albania.
After three games, Albania and Israel have six points each in their qualifying group, which also includes Spain and Italy.
